Fibroepithelial Breast Tumors in a Teenager with Beckwith-Wiedemann Syndrome: A Case Report and Review of Literature

Aysenur Oktay et al.

Summary: Beckwith-Wiedemann syndrome (BWS) is a human genomic imprinting disorder with a wide spectrum of clinical features, including overgrowth, macroglossia, and predisposition to embryonal tumors. Diagnosis is based on molecular tests or clinical signs, with molecular tests being important for atypical cases. This case report highlights the need for lifelong tumor surveillance in BWS patients, especially in cases of benign breast tumors.
