Te4+-doped Cs2InCl5•H2O single crystals for remote optical thermometry

Jun-Hua Wei et al.

Summary: Zero-dimensional metal halide perovskites, especially those with the ns(2) electronic configuration, are of great interest for their high-temperature sensitive photoluminescence properties. Te4+ doped Cs2InCl5·H2O single crystals exhibit a strong temperature-dependent photoluminescence lifetime, showing potential advantages for remote optical thermometry (ROT) applications. The strong phonon-exciton coupling and specific sensitivity at 320K demonstrate the promising prospects of indium-based metal halide perovskites in ROT applications.

Structural Dimensionality Modulation toward Enhanced Photoluminescence Efficiencies of Hybrid Lead-Free Antimony Halides

Jian-Qiang Zhao et al.

Summary: This study introduces a crystal dimensional reduction strategy to enhance the photoluminescence quantum yield of hybrid antimony halide, resulting in efficient broadband yellow light emission and the development of white light-emitting diodes with a high color rendering index. The reduction in crystal dimensions creates a more flat and narrow band structure which improves photoelectron localization and increases luminescence efficiency. Such structural modulation strategy provides a novel approach to optimize the photoluminescence performance of hybrid metal halides.
