Genetic and biased agonist-mediated reductions in β-arrestin recruitment prolong cAMP signaling at glucagon family receptors

Ben Jones et al.

Summary: The study found that GLP-1R, GIPR, and GCGR agonists with reduced beta-arrestin recruitment can prolong G protein-dependent cAMP/PKA signaling and increase insulin secretion. However, this effect is only seen at high agonist concentrations, and further research is needed to maximize the use of this strategy for therapeutic purposes.
