The competitive and synergistic effect between adsorption enthalpy and capacity in D2/H2 separation of M2(m-dobdc) frameworks

Fan Wu et al.

Summary: Hydrogen isotope separation is a challenging task due to their similar properties. Through the study of MOFs with high stability and abundant metal open sites, it was found that Co(2()m-dobdc) showed the best performance with the best sorption capacity and adsorption enthalpy at low pressure, making it suitable for industrial hydrogen isotope separation. The results indicate that H-2 and D-2 capacities under low pressure dominate the final D-2/H-2 separation property of MOFs.

Single- and mixed-metal-organic framework photocatalysts for carbon dioxide reduction

Xiao-Yao Dao et al.

Summary: Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are considered as ideal photocatalysts for CO2 conversion due to their excellent CO2 capture capacity and photoelectronic properties. Recent research has focused on improving the properties of MOF-based photocatalysts and exploring the relationship between structures and activity to construct highly efficient MOFs for CO2 conversion. Challenges in this field have been mentioned to facilitate the development of MOFs for efficient CO2 conversion.
