Amorphous Calcium Phosphate NPs Mediate the Macrophage Response and Modulate BMSC Osteogenesis

Liangjiao Chen et al.

Summary: The study found that ACP NPs are safe for macrophages, but at high concentrations, they promote autophagy and induce ROS production. ACP NPs change the morphology of macrophages and induce polarization into M1 type, thus promoting the expression of inflammatory cytokines. ACP NPs/macrophage-modulated environments weaken the osteogenic ability of BMSCs.

A review on advances of treatment modalities for Alzheimer?s disease

Ewen Se Thoe et al.

Summary: Alzheimer's disease is a neurodegenerative disease characterized by progressive cognitive and memory impairment in older individuals. Current pharmaceutical treatments only target symptoms rather than the root cause of the disease, leading to a search for more effective therapeutic alternatives.Understanding the neuroprotective mechanisms of specific genes, antibodies, and nanoparticles is essential in designing novel therapeutic agents for Alzheimer's disease.
