Charge-Transfer Complex of Linifanib with 2,3-dichloro-3,5-dicyano-1,4-benzoquinone: Synthesis, Spectroscopic Characterization, Computational Molecular Modelling and Application in the Development of Novel 96-microwell Spectrophotometric Assay

Ibrahim A. Darwish et al.

Summary: This study investigated the charge-transfer reaction of LFB with DDQ and its application in developing a novel 96-microwell spectrophotometric assay. The reaction produced a red-colored product, with the molar absorptivity of the complex linearly correlated to the dielectric constant and polarity index of the solvent, and the stoichiometric ratio of LFB:DDQ was determined to be 1:2. It was confirmed that the reaction mechanism was postulated through spectroscopic and computational data, and it successfully developed the first 96-microwell spectrophotometric assay for LFB with high accuracy and precision.

A comparison of charge-transfer complexes of iodine with some antibiotics formed through two different approaches (liquid-liquid vs solid-solid)

Abdel Majid A. Adam et al.

Summary: This study compared iodine CT complexes obtained from liquid and solid starting materials, finding that the solid-solid approach is faster, simpler, and does not require a purification process or consume large amounts of solvent or time. Additionally, the solid-solid approach can generate iodine CT complexes with compounds that have very low solubility in suitable organic solvents.

Gliclazide charge transfer complexes with some benzoquinone acceptors: Synthesis, structural characterization, thermal analyses, DFT studies, evaluation of anticancer activity and utility for determination of gliclazide in pure and dosage forms

Abanoub Mosaad Abdallah et al.

Summary: The research focused on the reaction between gliclazide and chloranilic acid and DDQ to form charge-transfer complexes for spectrophotometric quantification. The study involved characterization of the complexes using spectral methods, theoretical calculations, thermal property analysis, and screening for anticancer activity against MCF-7 cell line.

A TTF-TCNQ complex: an organic charge-transfer system with extraordinary electromagnetic response behavior

Lipeng Wu et al.

Summary: A nanostructural TTF-TCNQ complex was prepared and showed good electromagnetic absorption performance with filler-loading ratio impacting its effective bandwidth. An electronic structure, multi-polarization, and conductive network model was used to explain the electromagnetic response behavior of the complex.
