Farmer Discussion Groups Create Space for Peer Learning about Safety and Health

Summary: The study evaluated Irish dairy discussion groups' engagement with occupational safety and health (OSH) in 2016, finding that most groups discussed OSH to some extent, including sharing personal experiences and discussing specific hazard and risk management topics. The findings suggest that dairy farmers value OSH discussions and that discussion groups play an important role in OSH promotion.

Shoulder moments and angles during single and combined manual material handling tasks

Summary: Shoulder musculoskeletal disorders due to manual material handling tasks are common workplace injuries. In this study, it was found that peak and cumulative shoulder moments were larger during single-task paradigm than during the equivalent part of the combined task. The main contributors to this overestimation were differences in lever arm, shoulder angle, and task duration between single and combined tasks.

Three-dimensional asymmetric maximum weight lifting prediction considering dynamic joint strength
