Reconfigurable optical memory based on MoS2/QDs mixed-dimensional van der Waals heterostructure

Yilin Sun et al.

Summary: In this study, a reconfigurable optical memory based on MoS2/quantum dots mixed-dimensional heterostructure is demonstrated to achieve high programming/erasing ratio, long retention time, and stable operation cycles that can be gate-tunable. Multi-level optical data storage with ten different states is realized by applying a series of programmable optical signals. The proposed optical memory transistor in low-dimensional system shows promising potential for exploring photoelectric conversion and developing high-performance optoelectronics for various applications.

Low-frequency Raman signature of Ag-intercalated few-layer MoS2

Natalya Sheremetyeva et al.

Summary: The presence of silver intercalated in the van der Waals gap of few-layer MoS2 has a significant impact on the low-frequency Raman active modes of the material, leading to noticeable red-shifts with increasing silver concentration. Low-frequency vibrations can be used as a practical tool for determining silver concentration using Raman spectroscopy. Additionally, a semi-classical linear chain model can be used to extrapolate results to a large number of layers, providing valuable insights for further research in this area.

Monolayer MoS2 on sapphire: an azimuthal reflection high-energy electron diffraction perspective

Yu Xiang et al.

Summary: The structures of large-area epitaxial ML MoS2 grown on sapphire have been studied using ARHEED, revealing low density defects and a small angular misalignment of orientation domains in the material. This technique also suggests the existence of a passivation layer between the MoS2 ML and sapphire substrate, showing promise for application to other transition metal dichalcogenides.

Theoretical Insight into High-Efficiency Triple-Junction Tandem Solar Cells via the Band Engineering of Antimony Chalcogenides

Yu Cao et al.

Summary: This study designed and optimized triple-junction antimony chalcogenides-based solar cells with a high theoretical efficiency. By maintaining a low selenium content in the mid-cell, the external quantum efficiency of the solar cells was increased. Additionally, regulating the bandgap gradient through selenium content gradient in single-junction solar cells improved the conversion efficiency.
