Virulence potential of Aeromonas hydrophila isolated from apparently healthy freshwater food fish

Chinmayee Muduli et al.

Summary: The study evaluated the virulence potential of A. hydrophila strains isolated from apparently healthy fish and their pathogenicity in Indian catfish. Phenotypic assays, genotypic tests, and in-vivo pathogenicity assays showed that these strains possess important virulence genes and can potentially cause diseases in farmed fish.
