Prediction of 7-year's conversion from subjective cognitive decline to mild cognitive impairment

Ling Yue et al.

Summary: By using neuroimaging and machine learning models, the progression from SCD to MCI in high-risk individuals can be predicted, with identified factors influencing the progression. This study provides important insights for future neuropathological research on AD.

Comparing different approaches for operationalizing subjective cognitive decline: impact on syndromic and biomarker profiles

Patricia Diaz-Galvan et al.

Summary: Subjective cognitive decline (SCD) has been proposed as a risk factor for future cognitive decline and dementia. This study identified two main phenotypes of SCD: an amnestic phenotype related to Alzheimer's Disease (AD) and an anomic phenotype related to cerebrovascular pathology. Additionally, language complaints other than naming helped identify a subgroup with subclinical cognitive impairment and activities of daily living difficulties.
