Origin of large intrinsic flexoelectric coefficients near curie temperature of BaTiO3

Xiaoqin Ke et al.

Summary: Research has shown that the intrinsic flexoelectric coefficient of BaTiO3 near its Curie temperature can reach 1.3 mu C/m, which is correlated with the lattice instability of its paraelectric phase. This finding helps uncover the origin of large flexoelectric coefficients near the Curie temperature of ferroelectric materials and may lead to the design of new ferroelectric materials with high flexoelectric coefficients.

Importance of dislocations in ultrasound-assisted sintering of silver nanoparticles

Kyuichi Yasui et al.

Summary: The study suggests that ultrasonic irradiation can promote sintering of silver nanoparticles by reducing pore size and increasing saturated density. Experimental results show that ultrasound irradiation can increase the densification rate, but does not increase the dislocation density under certain conditions.

Effect of heat treatment on internal stress in barium titanate nanocube assemblies and their dielectric property

Hiroki Itasaka et al.

Summary: In this study, Raman spectroscopy and scanning microwave impedance microscopy were used to investigate the internal stress and relative permittivity of BaTiO3 nanocube three-dimensional assemblies under different heat treatment temperatures. The results show that heat treatment caused internal compressive stress in the nanocube assemblies and a positive correlation between the internal compressive stress and relative permittivity.

Flexoelectric response of ferroelectric ceramics with reduced surface layer effect

Dongxia Tian et al.

Summary: The flexoelectric response of Na0.5Bi0.5TiO3-based and (Ba,Sr)TiO3 ferroelectric ceramics with different electrodes was investigated. The study found that the flexoelectric response is strongly dependent on the fabrication methods of the electrodes and the surface effect plays a significant role in the deviation of measured flexoelectric response from the intrinsic response in ferroelectric ceramics.
