Cognitive Profile and Markers of Alzheimer Disease-Type Pathology in Patients With Lewy Body Dementias

Erica Howard et al.

Summary: Markers of AD-type copathology are associated with impaired language performance in patients with LBD, suggesting that biologically based classification of LBD may be advantageous over clinically defined syndromes.

Integrated 18F-T807 Tau PET, Structural MRI, and Plasma Tau in Tauopathy Neurodegenerative Disorders

Cheng-Hsuan Li et al.

Summary: Tau-specific PET imaging with F-18-T807 tracer showed only modest changes in patients with non-AD tauopathies, with significant increases in cortical uptake observed in AD. Cortical tau tracer uptake correlated with plasma tau levels and regional cortical thinning, suggesting the need for further research using a more specific tracer for classifying tauopathy parkinsonism syndromes.

Macular microcirculation characteristics in Parkinson's disease evaluated by OCT-Angiography: a literature review

Evita Evangelia Christou et al.

Summary: The retina may serve as a predictive factor for neurodegenerative disorders, with recent use of Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography (OCT-A) in studying macular microcirculation changes in Parkinson's disease (PD). While preliminary evidence suggests OCT-A could be a useful biomarker for cerebral vasculature in PD, further research is needed to confirm its predictive value in clinical practice.
