Sajjad Hassan Askari et al.

Summary: The study evaluated the efficacy of menadione sodium bisulfite (MSB) in mitigating chromium (Cr) phytotoxic effects on wheat. MSB application reduced oxidative damage, total Cr contents, and enhanced antioxidant enzyme activities in wheat plants under Cr toxicity. In contrast, water-insoluble menadiol diacetate (MD) did not mediate defense responses in wheat under Cr stress.
