Multifunctional catalysts based on palladium nanoparticles supported on functionalized halloysites: Applications in catalytic C-C coupling, selective oxidation and dehalogenation reactions

Among them, the HNTs-PPETS-Pd0.25 catalyst showed the most promising catalytic behavior and potential reusability in various catalytic processes. It demonstrated high turnover frequency values in catalytic reactions and good recyclability with low Pd leaching after consecutive cycles.

Palladium supported terpyridine modified magnetic nanoparticles as an efficient catalyst for carbon-carbon bond formation

Summary: By synthesizing specific ligand complexes, palladium-tellurium nanostructures with different phases can be obtained, with the bidentate coordination complex forming Pd9Te4 structures and the tridentate coordination complex yielding PdTe structures. These bimetallic alloy nanostructures show high catalytic potential for Suzuki coupling and 4-nitrophenol reduction, and can be recycled for up to six reaction cycles in Suzuki coupling.

Summary: In this study, a proof-of-concept strategy was designed to trigger the room-temperature activity of heterogeneous Au catalysts by decreasing the electron density at the interface of a rationally designed Schottky heterojunction of Au metals and boron-doped carbons. This led to highly efficient C-C coupling reactions surpassing that of the state-of-the-art homogeneous catalyst.

Nano-sized metal catalysts are proven to be among the most efficient catalysts for this reaction due to their large surface area to volume ratio and reactive morphologies, allowing for faster reaction rates at lower CO pressures and catalyst loadings.
