Speech rehabilitation in post-stroke aphasia using visual illustration of speech articulators: A case report study

Celise Haldin et al.

Summary: Recent studies suggest that providing visual information in rehabilitation methods can improve speech production and increase awareness of lingual and labial movements, enhancing articulation. Illustration-based rehabilitation techniques have been shown to benefit speech production and reading abilities, particularly for targeted consonants categories, while also indicating a need for detailed subjective and objective evaluation in speech production assessments.
