Measurement of A baryon polarization in e+ e- → Λ(Λ)over-bar at √s=3.773 GeV

Summary: In this study, a measurement of A spin polarization in the e+e- -> Lambda(Lambda) over bar process at √s = 3.773 GeV is reported using a data sample of psi(3770) events collected with the BESIII detector at BEPCII. The phase between the transition amplitudes of the Lambda(Lambda) over bar helicity states is found to be zero, and the ratio between the form factors is determined.

Summary: Electromagnetic form factors are fundamental observables that describe the electric and magnetic structure of hadrons. At BESIII, form factors have been measured for different baryons in the time-like region for the first time or with the best precision. The results are presented with examples focusing on, but not limited to, the proton/neutron, the Lambda with a strange quark, and the Lambda(c) with a charm quark.

Measurement of the cross section for e+e- → Λ(Λ)over-bar and evidence of the decay ψ(3770) → Λ(Λ)over-bar

Summary: In this study, the Born cross section of the process e(+)e(-) ->Lambda(Lambda) over bar over line was measured with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider using data corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 20.0 fb(-1) at 33 center-of-mass energies between 3.51 and 4.60 GeV. The contribution from the psi(3770) -> Lambda(Lambda) over bar decay was found to be significant in describing the energy dependence of the cross section. This result highlights the importance of considering effects from vector charmonium(like) states when interpreting data and sets upper limits for their electronic widths and branching fractions.
