Optimization of sintering conditions for improved microstructural and mechanical properties of dense Ce0.8Gd0.2O2-delta-FeCo2O4 oxygen transport membranes

Fanlin Zeng et al.

Summary: After studying the phase interactions among the initial powder mixtures, sintering at approximately 1050 degrees C was found to accelerate the densification process. Increasing the sintering temperature to 1200 degrees C further homogenized the pore distribution, resulting in enhanced mechanical strength. Sintering at 1200 degrees C was determined to be the optimal temperature, achieving a high microstructure density and improved mechanical properties.

Enhancing oxygen permeation of solid-state reactive sintered Ce0.8Gd0.2O2-?-FeCo2O4 composite by optimizing the powder preparation method

Fanlin Zeng et al.

Summary: By optimizing the powder preparation method for a solid-state reactive sintering process, the blocking effects of individual phases within dual phase membranes can be alleviated. Homogenous powder mixtures with fine particle size can achieve high oxygen permeance.
