Conformal Field Theories with Sporadic Group Symmetry

Jin-Beom Bae et al.

Summary: The monster sporadic group is the automorphism group of a central charge c = 24 vertex operator algebra (VOA) or meromorphic conformal field theory (CFT). By decomposing the stress tensor, new CFTs with sporadic symmetry groups can be constructed, and evidence for their existence has been produced using various techniques to compute their characters. Examples include sporadic groups appearing as subquotients of the monster, as well as simple Lie groups such as E-2(6)(2) and F-4(2).

Discreteness and integrality in Conformal Field Theory

Justin Kaidi et al.

Summary: In this study, constraints of positivity, discreteness, and integrality on observables in compact CFTs are systematically investigated. The results yield bootstrap-type bounds on OPE data, insights into spectral determinacy, and discussions on implications for black hole physics and the uniqueness of a possible ensemble interpretation of AdS(3) gravity.

Wronskian indices and rational conformal field theories

Arpit Das et al.

Summary: The paper discusses the classification scheme for rational conformal field theories, which identifies them by two numbers (n, l). It computes the (n, l) values for three classes of well-known CFTs and finds interesting patterns and coincidences in the Wronskian indices of certain CFTs. The goal is to classify all rational conformal field theories for a given (n, l), with partial classifications provided using the computations.
