Charged lepton flavor violation at the EIC

Vincenzo Cirigliano et al.

Summary: In this study, we analyzed the potential sensitivity of EIC to charged lepton flavor violation (CLFV) within the model-independent framework of SMEFT, focusing on the ep ->tau X channel. We found that electroweak dipole and four-fermion semi-leptonic operators involving light quarks are already strongly constrained by tau decays, while operators involving the c and b quarks present more promising discovery potential for the EIC.

Discovery potential of FASERν with contained vertex and through-going events

Pouya Bakhti et al.

Summary: FASER nu detector is proposed for detecting neutrino flux from proton beam collision at the ATLAS IP during LHC run III. It can also test beyond standard model scenarios involving neutrino interactions producing new unstable particles decaying into charged leptons. Including neutrino flux interactions in the rock before the detector can significantly increase detector sensitivity to new physics, particularly models involving multi-muon production by neutrinos scattering off matter fields.

Comprehensive analysis of beta decays within and beyond the Standard Model

Adam Falkowski et al.

Summary: This paper reviews and analyzes precision measurements in allowed nuclear beta decays and neutron decay, confirming the V-A character of the interaction and updating the values for V-ud and g(A) at the 10^(-4) level. By incorporating data from mirror beta transitions in new global fits, the study also places new stringent limits on exotic couplings involving left-handed and right-handed neutrinos.

Long-lived sterile neutrinos at the LHC in effective field theory

Jordy de Vries et al.

Summary: This study examines the potential of displaced-vertex search for sterile neutrinos at the LHC in the nu SMEFT framework, investigating production and decay mechanisms including standard mixing and higher-dimensional operators. Sensitivities for detecting sterile neutrinos in various experiments were explored, with simulations showing that high-luminosity LHC experiments are competitive in probing EFT operators.

New physics effects in leptonic and semileptonic decays

Damir Becirevic et al.

Summary: This study discusses extracting constraints on New Physics using current data on leptonic and semileptonic decays of pseudoscalar mesons. By combining experimental information with precise lattice QCD results, constraints on New Physics couplings are obtained. New observables from angular analysis of semileptonic decays are proposed and values in the Standard Model and beyond are discussed.

Neutrino beam-dump experiment with FASER at the LHC

Krzysztof Jodlowski et al.

Summary: By utilizing the FASER experiment at the LHC, unique opportunities for precision studies of neutrino interaction vertices at high energies and searching for beyond the standard model particles are offered. The study illustrates the prospects for such searches in models with dipole or Z' portal to GeV-scale heavy neutral leptons, showing that a variety of experimental signatures could significantly extend the sensitivity reach of the future multi-purpose FASER 2 detector during the High-Luminosity phase of the LHC.

Neutral current neutrino interactions at FASERν

Ahmed Ismail et al.

Summary: FASER nu is expected to record the most energetic laboratory neutrinos ever studied, with the potential to observe neutrino neutral current scattering events. Researchers have demonstrated the use of deep neural networks to measure the neutral current scattering cross section, providing a complementary probe of neutrino nonstandard interactions to other tests such as oscillations and coherent neutrino-nucleus scattering.

Hunting inflatons at FASER

Nobuchika Okada et al.

Summary: In this scenario, a nonminimal quartic inflation model is considered within the minimal U(1)(x) extension of the Standard Model, with the inflaton identified as the U(1)(x) Higgs field. The inflationary predictions, U(1)(x) coupling, and U(1)(x) gauge boson mass are uniquely determined by the inflaton mass and mixing angle with the SM Higgs field. FASER has the potential to discover a long-lived scalar particle, the inflaton, within certain parameter ranges, which would further validate the model's predictions.
