Detection of the metabolic response to drought stress using hyperspectral reflectance

Summary: The study found that using leaf reflectance spectroscopy can detect drought stress through biochemical changes before visible differences occur; models can be established to quantitatively estimate the concentrations of substances such as proline and abscisic acid; linear discriminant analysis and partial least squares discriminant analysis can distinguish between irrigated and drought-treated plants.
