Summary: In this study, ASM treatment increased H2O2 content and reduced antioxidant contents in apples, while EGTA + ASM treatment had the opposite effect. ASM treatment enhanced the activities of multiple enzymes but inhibited catalase activity, while EGTA + ASM treatment suppressed the activities of these enzymes. CDPKs play a crucial role in regulating ROS metabolism and inducing resistance in apples through ASM treatment.
