Ineke Vergeer et al.

Summary: Holistic movement practices (HMPs), such as Yoga and Tai Chi, embedded in holistic philosophies of well-being, go beyond typical exercise contexts by including mental, emotional, social, and spiritual components. Despite the limited attention in exercise psychology, treating HMPs as a category of physical activity is believed to be beneficial for future research and understanding their relevance to the field.
