From inequitable to sustainable e-waste processing for reduction of impact on human health and the environment

Balazs Adam et al.

Summary: The recycling of electronic waste worldwide is a massive operation, with a majority of waste not being properly managed and impacting human health and the environment. There is a need to address current management practices and emerging threats, as well as propose adequate interventions like independent surveillance and developing better recycling processes. Collaboration among international agencies, industries, and stakeholders is crucial for transitioning to more sustainable e-waste management solutions and minimizing adverse effects.
