Analysis and prediction of the impact of technological parameters on cutting force components in rough milling of AZ31 magnesium alloy

M. Kulisz et al.

Summary: This study investigates the milling process of AZ31 magnesium alloy through dry milling experiments. It shows that milling with high cutting speed can reduce the values of cutting force components and transition into high-speed machining conditions range. Predictions of cutting force components using artificial neural networks, including amplitudes and root mean square, can be made based on the experimental results.

Deep long short-term memory neural network for accelerated elastoplastic analysis of heterogeneous materials: An integrated data-driven surrogate approach

Qiang Chen et al.

Summary: This study explores an integrated data-driven surrogate approach using FVDAM and LSTM neural network to predict the elastoplastic response of composite materials. The LSTM method is shown to outperform the fully connected neural network in capturing the history-dependent stress-strain behavior. The proposed framework provides a viable alternative for determining the history-dependent response of composites and lays a foundation for efficient multiscale analysis.

A framework for smart control using machine-learning modeling for processes with closed-loop control in Industry 4.0

Gonen Singer et al.

Summary: Anomaly detection for processes with closed-loop control is essential in Industry 4.0 shop floors. A novel framework utilizing adaptive machine-learning models has been proposed to address the challenge of unknown dependencies among monitored observations and dynamically changing patterns. By incorporating data-driven algorithms and a recurrent self-adaptive mechanism, the framework can effectively capture and reflect new dependencies resulting from process changes.

Determination of Mechanical and Tribological Properties of Silicone-Based Composites Filled with Manganese Waste

Maciej Mrowka et al.

Summary: High-tonnage industrial processes generate huge amounts of waste, and reusing these wastes as fillers in polymer composites can help reduce their environmental impact. However, the introduction of fillers into the polymer matrix may lead to a decrease in mechanical properties of the composite materials, while reducing abrasion.
