In this paper, we construct new brane solutions in M-theory based on minimal surfaces and investigate their properties and characteristics in the framework of eleven-dimensional supergravity. Specifically, we explore the embedding of the anti-self-dual Nutku geometry and the preservation of supersymmetries in these solutions, as well as the fully localized intersecting brane systems obtained upon compactification on a circle. The T-dual and decoupling limits of the solutions are also discussed.
We construct some new brane solutions in M-theory, based on the minimal surfaces. In particular, we consider the anti-self-dual Nutku geometry and embed it in the membranes and 5-branes of the eleven-dimensional supergravity. We explicitly show that the solutions preserve eight supersymmetries. Upon compactification on a circle, we find fully localized intersecting brane systems. We also discuss the T-dual and the decoupling limits of the solutions.
