PAR2 induces ovarian cancer cell motility by merging three signalling pathways to transactivate EGFR

Yuhong Jiang et al.

Summary: This study reveals a novel shared signalling cascade involving Gα(q/11), Gα(12/13), and beta-arrestin1/2 for PAR2-induced ovarian cancer cell migration and invasion, resulting in downstream serial activation of Src kinases, transactivation of EGFR, and subsequent MEK-ERK1/2-FOS/MYC/STAT3-COX2 signalling, which is not dependent on a single G protein or beta-arrestin-mediated pathway.

MCM8 is regulated by EGFR signaling and promotes the growth of glioma stem cells through its interaction with DNA-replication-initiating factors

Xiaoliang Wang et al.

Summary: MCM8, regulated by the EGFR pathway, maintains the clonogenic and tumorigenic potential of GSCs through interaction with DNA-replication-initiating factors; hence, MCM8 may represent a novel therapeutic target in GBMs.
