Dispersive mirror characterization and application for mid-infrared post-compression

Summary: This paper introduces a second harmonic assisted spectrally resolved interferometric technique to enhance the spectral resolution of mid-infrared spectrometers. The method was validated by measuring the group delay of various materials, and successfully applied to characterize the spectral phase shift of newly designed dispersive mirrors for mid-infrared post-compression. Implementation of these mirrors in the MIR laser system resulted in significantly shortened pulse duration and increased pulse peak power.
