FLORA: Fuzzy Based Load-Balanced Opportunistic Routing for Asynchronous Duty-Cycled WSNs

Summary: Many OR schemes neglect the diversity of network nodes and the impact of multiple network attributes on routing decisions. This paper proposes a novel protocol, FLORA, which addresses these issues by defining routing zones, prioritizing nodes, and selecting a final relay node. Experimental simulations demonstrate that FLORA outperforms its counterparts in terms of various performance metrics.
