Summary: In this study, Fe, Ni, and Cu doped ZnO nano-catalysts were prepared and utilized for the conversion of non-edible neem oil to biodiesel. Ni doped ZnO yielded 80% biodiesel under specific conditions, while Fe and Cu doped ZnO produced 95% and 85% yield, respectively. This research demonstrates the potential of these catalysts for transesterification of oil to biodiesel under mild reaction conditions.
