Environmentally-adaptive epoxy lubricating coating using self-assembled pMXene@polytetrafluoroethylene core-shell hybrid as novel additive

Yawen Yang et al.

Summary: In this work, a novel lubricating additive was designed and synthesized via self-assembling of wrapped PTFE nanoparticles by exfoliated MXene nanosheets. The pMXene@polytetrafluoroethylene (pMXene@PTFE) hybrid was introduced into epoxy coating and painted to substrate, showing excellent friction-reduction and wear-resistance properties in multiple environments. These improvements are mainly attributed to the lubricating synergistic effect of MXene sheets and PTFE hybrid additive, good dispersibility and adhesion of composite additive, as well as the formation of protective film on the upper counterpart.

Poly(phenylene-carborane) grafted graphene oxide for lightweight and thin-thickness microwave absorption composites

Yunxing Pan et al.

Summary: The poly(phenylene-carborane) (PPB) is successfully covalently attached to the surface of graphene oxide (GO) for the first time, forming GO-PPB composites. These composites exhibit excellent electromagnetic wave absorption properties due to suitable impedance characteristics, effective complementarities of polarization and conductivity, and dipole polarization in defects and functional groups.

Utilizing the Diffusion of Fluorinated Polymers to Modify the Semiconductor/Dielectric Interface in Solution-Processed Conjugated Polymer Field-Effect Transistors

Yuhui Yang et al.

Summary: It has been shown that tailoring the properties of semiconductor/dielectric interfaces with fluorinated polymers can improve the performance of OFETs. This study utilized the diffusion of fluorinated PMMA to construct a fluorine-rich semiconductor/dielectric interface, successfully fabricating bottom-gate OFETs with a solution-processed P3HT semiconductor layer.
