Capillarity and phase-mobility of a hydrocarbon gas-liquid system

Summary: The study focuses on the nucleation and transport of gas coming out of solution in 3D rock, revealing complexities in gas mobility and bubble nucleation kinetics. Experimental observations suggest that critical gas saturations could be significantly below the typical percolation threshold of 20%. Diffusive transport under flow conditions plays a significant role in gas mobility, leading to compositional gradients and complex behavior in capillarity of gas-liquid hydrocarbon mixtures.
