Mechanical, Tensile Creep and Viscoelastic Properties of Thermoplastic Polyurethane/Polycarbonate Blends

Alper Kasgoz

Summary: This study explored the morphological, mechanical, and solid-state creep properties of thermoplastic polyurethane/polycarbonate blends. Incorporation of PC improved the tensile modulus and creep resistance of TPU, while reducing toughness values. The experimental results demonstrated the compatibility and enhanced properties of the blend samples.

Process-structure-property relationship of meltblown poly (styrene-ethylene/butylene-styrene) nonwovens

Yang Yu et al.

Summary: With the advancement of TPE technology, there is a growing interest in using these materials in the meltblowing process to enhance product performance; a new elastomeric meltblown fabric was successfully produced in this study, with research conducted on the relationship between structure, tensile properties, and meltblowing process parameters; reducing fiber diameter tends to increase the tensile strength of the fabric due to the creation of more fiber-to-fiber bond points.
