Unraveling the micellization behavior and thermodynamic characteristics of imidazolium-based ionic liquid in presence of vitamins thiamine hydrochloride and ascorbic acid

Summary: This study systematically investigates the micellization properties of a long alkyl chain imidazolium-based ionic liquid in aqueous solution, in the presence of vitamins B1 and C. The results show a decrease in critical micelle concentration with increasing vitamin concentration and temperature. Various micellization parameters were calculated, and complementary techniques such as UV-Visible and fluorescence spectroscopy were used to validate the experimental findings. The study aims to deepen the understanding of the interaction between vitamins and surface active ionic liquids for potential applications in drug delivery, biomedical science, and bio-industries.
