A dual-potential ratiometric electrochemiluminescence biosensor based on Au@CDs nanoflowers, Au@luminol nanoparticles and an enzyme-free DNA nanomachine for ultrasensitive p53 DNA detection

Li Wang et al.

Summary: An amplified electrochemiluminescence ratiometric biosensor for p53 DNA sequence assay was developed using gold@carbon dots and gold@luminol nanoparticles, along with an enzyme-free DNA walker for signal amplification. The sensor exhibited high sensitivity and accuracy, with a lower limit of 0.34 fM for target detection. The use of Au@luminol and Au@CDs offered cost-effective, biocompatible, and easily labeled advantages, providing a new platform for ratiometric ECL biosensors.

Enhanced electrochemiluminescence cytosensing based on abundant oxygen vacancies contained 2D nanosheets emitter coupled with DNA device cycle-amplification

Huan Gao et al.

Summary: In this study, ultrathin Lu2O3-S nanosheets containing abundant oxygen vacancies were synthesized, which were utilized to construct a crossed enhanced ECL cytosensing platform for detecting acute lymphoblastic leukemia cancer cells with good analytical performance. The ECL signal responded proportionately to the concentration of target cells in a wide range, and a low detection limit was achieved, offering an alternative approach for designing high-performance ECL luminophores and providing an effective solution for CTCs counting.
