Summary: Sulfated tungstate catalyzed an efficient and ecofriendly protocol for the chemoselective N-tert-butyloxycarbonylation of amines under solvent-free conditions at room temperature. Various functionalized aliphatic, aromatic, and heteroaromatic amines can efficiently undergo the N-tert-butyloxycarbonylation under this developed protocol, showing good functional group tolerance and high yield with easy product recovery. This method is feasible, economical, and environmentally benign.
