Durable metal-enhanced fluorescence flexible platform by in-situ growth of micropatterned Ag nanospheres

Summary: In this study, micropatterned silver nanospheres array was grown in-situ on transparent polyimide for metal-enhanced fluorescence, providing a flexible platform. The control of grid formation of Ag NSs and particle size inside enabled patterned fluorescence imaging and MEF efficiency optimization. The effect of PEI spacer thickness and distance between Ag NSs and emissive molecules on enhanced intensity was systematically investigated.
