Summary: A lysosome-targeting fluorescent probe sensitive to both pH and viscosity was designed for efficient and selective detection of cancer cells and tumors, utilizing the transformation of pyronine amino- and imino- forms and the TICS sensing mechanism. The probe was able to effectively distinguish live cancer cells and tumors from normal cells and organs through fluorescence imaging, demonstrating its potential as a valuable tool for organ-level visualization of tumors with high selectivity.

Summary: By structuring a luminescent molecule as an accurate pH probe with aggregation-induced emission (AIE) feature, the researchers have developed a simple AIE-active fluorescence probe for pH detection based on intramolecular charge transfer (ICT). This probe shows good fluorescence properties in mixed MeOH/water system and can be used for profiling and visualization of pH detection under UV 365 nm lamp. Additionally, it can serve as a low-cost test paper for pH detection, paving the way for practical applications.

Summary: Quadrant reflectance confocal and non-confocal scanning light ophthalmoscope images were recorded for a subject with congenital achromatopsia and a normal control, revealing two cone photoreceptor contrast mechanisms. Split-detection images were generated using various quadrant detector combinations, with diagonal detectors producing the highest contrast. Integration of image pairs with orthogonal split directions produced images with consistent photoreceptor contrast.

Summary: In this study, different bis-sulfonyl chalcone-BODIPYs cell targeting probes were designed, synthesized and characterized. The bis-methanesulfonyl chalcone-BODIPY showed better activity evaluation on HeLa cells, with compounds 5 and 6 demonstrating strong cell imaging capabilities and potential tumor targeting in vivo experiments. Molecular docking simulations showed high affinity scores with CDK2 of tumor cells for compounds 5 and 6, suggesting promising targeting capability and biocompatibility of bis-sulfonyl chalcone-BODIPYs.
