Targeting Neutrophils in Sepsis: From Mechanism to Translation

Xiaofei Shen et al.

Summary: Sepsis is a life-threatening condition with a lack of specific treatment, and neutrophils play a crucial role during sepsis. Impairment in neutrophil function may lead to inappropriate responses to infection and increased susceptibility to secondary infection. Restoring neutrophil function could promote bacterial clearance and improve sepsis outcome.
