Docking of CuI and AgI in Metal-Organic Frameworks for Adsorption and Separation of Xenon

Haoze Wang et al.

Summary: In this study, a metal docking strategy was introduced using the spatial arrangement of organic struts in a MOF. The resulting metalated MOFs showed high capacity and selectivity for Xe adsorption, with Ag-MOF-303 exhibiting exceptional performance. Coordination geometries of Cu-I and Ag-I were examined using advanced spectroscopy techniques.
