Designing a spontaneously deriving NiFe-LDH from bimetallic MOF-74 as an electrocatalyst for oxygen evolution reaction in alkaline solution

Mia Rinawati et al.

Summary: This study proposed a method to fabricate NiFe LDH through an effective precursor conversion by bimetallic MOF, which exhibited excellent performance in catalyzing OER and operated under alkaline conditions. Compared to other materials, MOF-74-derived NiFe LDH demonstrated higher electroactivity and a lower Tafel slope, showing promising potential for various applications.

Electrostatic adsorbing graphene quantum dot into nickel-based layered double hydroxides: Electron absorption/donor effects enhanced oxygen electrocatalytic activity

Xiaolong Guo et al.

Summary: Introducing graphene quantum dots to regulate the surface electronic structure of nickel-based layered double hydroxides (NiM-LDHs) has been shown to enhance oxygen evolution reaction (OER) activity. This change in charge distribution around metal ions triggers the accumulation of active nickel species, leading to improved OER performance.

Supporting effects of a N-doped carbon film electrode on an electrodeposited Ni@Ni(OH)2 core-shell nanocatalyst in accelerating electrocatalytic oxidation of oligosaccharides

Shunsuke Shiba et al.

Summary: The supporting effect of N-doped carbon film improved the crystallinity of electrodeposited Ni@Ni(OH)(2) core-shell nanoparticles, leading to a higher regeneration rate of catalytic sites and oxidation currents of sugars, as well as a significant decrease in overpotential for the G5 oxidation reaction, possibly due to electrostatic interaction between NPs and G5.
