Dual assaying of breast cancer biomarkers by using a sandwich-type electrochemical aptasensor based on a gold nanoparticles-3D graphene hydrogel nanocomposite and redox probes labeled aptamers

Summary: The study developed a sandwich-type electrochemical aptasensor for simultaneous detection of CEA and CA 15-3 in breast cancer using a nanocomposite biosensing substrate and probes. The redox probes of hemin and ferrocene provided electrochemical signals, and the aptasensor showed good reliability when compared to the ELISA method in analyzing clinical serum samples.

Electrochemiluminescent biosensor for ultrasensitive detection of lymphoma at the early stage using CD20 markers as B cell-specific antigens

Summary: In this study, a novel label-free electrogenerated chemiluminescence (ECL) aptasensor was developed for the sensitive detection of lymphoma cells by utilizing the special binding of an aptamer to the membrane surface of B cells and the accumulation of a nanocomposite on the aptamer phosphate backbone. The enhanced sensitive detection of cancer cells was achieved with a limit of detection of 31 cells/mL, and the aptasensor exhibited excellent specificity for lymphoma cells compared to other cell lines. The performance of the biosensing platform was confirmed through satisfactory results obtained from blood samples when compared to a commercial flow cytometric method.

High-affinity aptamer of allergen β-lactoglobulin: Selection, recognition mechanism and application

Summary: In this study, aptamers against beta-Lg were successfully selected and used to construct a novel fluorescence-surface enhanced Raman scattering dual-mode aptasensor for efficient and sensitive detection of the allergen. The aptasensor exhibited a broader linear range and a low detection limit, showing good stability and recoveries in real samples.
