Deep learning and machine learning techniques to improve hand movement classification in myoelectric control system

R. Rajapriya et al.

Summary: A novel myoelectric control system (MCS) approach is proposed in this paper, achieving high classification accuracy by using an invariant higher order statistics - frequency domain feature set (HOS-FD). Trained on data from different limb positions, the method shows promising potential for human-machine interface (HMI) designs.

Affordable Embroidered EMG Electrodes for Myoelectric Control of Prostheses: A Pilot Study

Ernest N. Kamavuako et al.

Summary: Research suggests that embroidered EMG electrodes may be a more affordable alternative to conventional gel electrodes for myoelectric prostheses. Results from a pilot study show that embroidered electrodes can achieve similar performance to gel electrodes in terms of myoelectric control, paving the way for low-cost prostheses.
