Effect of wet grinded lithium slag on compressive strength and hydration of sulphoaluminate cement system

Hongbo Tan et al.

Summary: A new approach was proposed to utilize nano lithium slag (nano-LS) to improve the early compressive strength of sulphoaluminate cement (SAC) in this study. The results showed that nano-LS significantly promoted the compressive strength and hydration process of SAC, demonstrating the excellent application potential of LS in the cement system.

Early age hydration and application of blended magnesium potassium phosphate cements for reduced corrosion of reactive metals

Laura J. Gardner et al.

Summary: The study found that Magnesium potassium phosphate cements (MKPC) can effectively retard the corrosion of reactive uranium metal. Optimized formulations of MKPC with low water content, fly ash (FA) and blast furnace slag (BFS) showed good fluidity, strength and phase assemblage. In-situ time resolved synchrotron powder X-ray diffraction revealed that the inclusion of BFS delayed the formation of Struvite-K, and MKPC systems have the potential application in limiting uranium corrosion rates.

Rheological properties of magnesium phosphate cement with different M/P ratios

Cong Ma et al.

Summary: Experimental results confirm that a higher M/P ratio accelerates the initial hydration rate of MPC, reducing plastic viscosity and yield stress. The most important factor influencing the rheological properties of MPC is the initial hydration rate, followed by the separation distance among solid particles.
