Exergoenvironmental damages assessment of horticultural crops using ReCiPe2016 and cumulative exergy demand frameworks

Summary: This study evaluated the environmental impacts of horticultural crops under different cropping systems in Guilan province of Iran using the life cycle assessment (LCA) method and CExD analysis. The findings showed that hazelnut production has the highest emissions and energy consumption among all studied crops, while citrus production has the lowest environmental impacts. It is suggested to cultivate citrus for more sustainable horticultural production.
