Deprotonated diaminocarbene platinum complexes for thermoresponsive luminescent silicone materials: both catalysts and luminophores

Mikhail Dobrynin et al.

Summary: C,N-Chelate deprotonated diaminocarbene platinum(II) complexes were synthesized by coupling coordinate isocyanides and azinyl-substituted ureas, which act as catalysts for the hydrosilylation cross-linking of silicone rubbers. Among these complexes, one containing (aminoisoquinoline) exhibited temperature-responsive luminescence, showing irreversible changes in emission from green radiation at 80-100 degrees C to blue radiation at 120 degrees C or higher.

Catalyst-free synthesis of substituted pyridin-2-yl, quinolin-2-yl, and isoquinolin-1-yl carbamates from the corresponding hetaryl ureas and alcohols

Svetlana O. Kasatkina et al.

Summary: A novel catalyst-free synthesis method has been developed for the production of N-pyridin-2-yl, N-quinolin-2-yl, and N-isoquinolin-1-yl carbamates using easily accessible N-hetaryl ureas and alcohols. The reaction yields a wide range of products with good-to-high efficiency, with successful synthesis of ethyl benzo[h]quinolin-2-yl carbamate at a yield of 68%.

Cyclometalated Platinum(II) Complexes Simultaneously Catalyze the Cross-Linking of Polysiloxanes and Function as Luminophores

Mikhail Dobrynin et al.

Summary: In this study, a family of platinum complexes were synthesized and used as hydrosilylation catalysts to prepare luminescent silicone rubbers. The silicone rubbers and the complexes exhibited similar emission spectra in the green region and strong phosphorescence, with potential applications in protective coatings and phosphor-converted white light-emitting diodes.
