Summary: Studies show that melatonin supplementation can have positive effects on psychomotor performance and physical fitness measures of collegiate student-athletes, especially after sleep deprivation. However, the ingestion of melatonin had no significant effect on dependent variables in student-athletes without sleep deprivation.
