Review of technological design options for building integrated photovoltaics (BIPV)

Summary: This study developed building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) integrations by bonding thin-film flexible amorphous silicon (a-Si) PV cells and organic PV cells to glass fibre reinforced polymer (GFRP) sections. The results showed that the surface temperature increased linearly with sunlight intensity, and compressive loading on the PV cells led to a decrease in the open-circuit voltage.

Gas-sensing selectivity of n-ZnO/p-Co3O4 sensors for homogeneous reducing gas

Summary: This study prepared a series of n-ZnO/p-xCo(3)O(4) NPs and found that the Zn:Co molar ratio influenced the gas-sensing selectivity. The results indicated that n-ZnO/p-0.61Co(3)O(4) NPs, formed with a p-n heterojunction, hold promise in addressing the issue of poor selectivity in MOS-based gas sensors.
