Experimental investigation of exergetic efficiency of 3 side concave dimple roughened absorbers

Vikash Kumar

Summary: This study evaluated the exergetic efficiency of a solar air heater duct system with 3 side concave dimple roughness and compared the results with a 1 side roughened system. The experiments under different parameters showed the influence of Reynolds number and temperature parameter on exergetic efficiency.

Thermo-hydraulic and exergy analysis of inclined impinging jets on absorber plate of solar air heater

Rajesh Maithani et al.

Summary: The experimental investigation in this study focuses on enhancing heat transfer in a solar heat collector by using a novel technique of impinging air jet at an angle on the heated surface. By providing ambient cool air to the absorber plate surface and impinging heated absorber plate with inclined air jet, the heat transfer coefficient is increased.

Energy, exergy, and enviroeconomic assessment of double and single pass solar air heaters having a new design absorber

Saleh Abo-Elfadl et al.

Summary: This paper experimentally compares the performance of a newly designed tubular solar air heater (T_SAH) and a flat plate solar air heater (F_SAH) at different air mass flow rates. The results show that T_SAH performs better than F_SAH in some cases, but the improvement in F_SAH with double-pass flow configuration is greater than that of T_SAH.

Energy, exergy, and economic analysis of tubular solar air heater with porous material: An experimental study

Saleh Abo-Elfadl et al.

Summary: The study shows that the solar air heater with a new design tubular absorber performs better in energy efficiency, output air temperature, and energy gain compared to the flat plate air heater. Additionally, utilizing porous material and a double pass can further enhance the performance of the tubular heater.
