Pesticide practices in coastal agricultural farms of Lebanon

Patil Mardigian et al.

Summary: The study found that most Lebanese farmers are willing to use pesticides with lower toxicity to humans and the environment, especially those who plant their crops in greenhouses. The willingness to use less toxic pesticides was associated with farmers using greenhouses, but not with perceptions of the health effects of pesticides. Policy enforcement and support for farmers in making informed choices about pesticides are crucial.
