LRRTM3 regulates activity-dependent synchronization of synapse properties in topographically connected hippocampal neural circuits

Summary: LRRTM4 protein is primarily located at the dendritic tips of rod bipolar cells and colocalizes with TRPM1, but is not detected at the dendritic tips of ON-cone bipolar cells. Knockout of LRRTM4 in BCs did not affect the composition of TRPM1 at dendritic tips, while GPR179 accumulation was partially reduced. LRRTM4's extracellular domain was found to bind pikachurin in a heparan-sulfate dependent manner.
